Fluid creatures

These are my Fluid creatures. I enjoy acrylic pour painting; the different effects and techniques you can use with it are endless. The choices the paint makes as it settles and dries onto the canvas over the next few days inform what sort of animal fits best onto the particular artwork.

The fluidity and spontaneity of acrylic pours allow for a more interesting background that pulls you in and around and can work beautifully with the different creatures of the world, it pulls out more personality and motion while still blending using all the organic shapes and bright colors.

These are made by mixing paint and other mediums, and then using toothpicks, straws, popsicle sticks, and other interesting tools to make a background that I feel benefits a different animal. Then sketching out and painting an animal with a personality that fits the arts motion and vibe.

The playful puppy is one of my dogs, her name is Zoey. She loves getting belly rubs and destroying stuffed toys when shes not napping!
